Groups within our Group

We have several smaller groups within our group. We hope you will find something that fits your interests! Each group maintains its own mailing list so please contact the group coordinator(s) at the email address listed in the monthly newsletter to sign up!

SQ Book Club (all genres)

This group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Murder Mystery Book Club

This group meets on the second Thursday of each month.

BUNCO

This very popular group meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the evenings. Light hors d'oeuvres are served. There is a nominal fee to play.

Hostesses rotate monthly and take care of the theme, menu and decorations.

Bowling

This group meets on the second and fourth Monday afternoons at a local bowling alley in Pooler.

We just bowl for fun so you don't have to be good at it!

Canasta

Even if you have never played before, we will help you learn!

This group meets weekly on Wednesday afternoons.

Crafts Group

This fun group meets several times a year. Projects range from easy to moderate difficulty. Instruction is provided and helping hands are always close by.

Coordinators will purchase materials but participants are responsible for their cost.

Discussion Group

If you hunger for deeper conversations, then this group is for you! Facilitated discussions are led by our very own life coach!

Tresa specializes in coaching women who are experiencing significant life changes, including retirement, career transitions, widowhood, divorce, and personal reinvention!

Meetings our relaxed and held monthly on dates that work for the participants.

Genealogy Group

Carve out a few hours and dedicate your time to your genealogy projects. Add to your tree, do some research, learn or share tips!

This group meets on the first Tuesday of each month in the morning.

Hand & Foot Groups

We have 2 groups: a bi-monthly group that meets on the 2nd and last (not necessarily the 4th) Wednesday mornings and a weekly group that plays every Thursday afternoon.

Participants are asked to join only one group.

Holy COWs Group

Coordinator:

This group gathers weekly on Wednesday afternoons to watch Bible inspired movies, series, or video content and then have a facilitated discussion about Christian values, culture, and scripture.

Join us in growing in knowledge and love for scripture and love for Jesus.

Snacks provided by person hosting the group in their home. BYOB

Kindness Crew

A committee of us who research for, and organize activities that give back to our community through local non-profits.

Once activities are chosen, anyone in WOW can sign up to participate.

Loop, Hook & Stitch Group

Single Ladies Group

Gone are the days when you have to dine alone or miss out on all Pooler and Savannah have to offer. Join our network of single ladies and get off that couch.

Walking Group

Coordinator:

Peggy Hegarty

This group walks for one hour, three times a week in the mornings. It ends up being about 3 miles.When it's raining, we take advantage of our fitness center and exercise indoors.The pace ranges from power walkers to a slow walk for those with knee, hip, or back problems. We pair you up with someone who walks at your pace.

Wine Lovers
